21 current and former Penticton Vees are taking part in the NHL Development Camps since the 2023 NHL Draft wrapped up late last month in Nashville, TN.

The Vees had four players selected in the NHL Draft in June, highlighted by Bradly Nadeau being selected in the first round, 30th overall, by the Carolina Hurricanes. Aydar Suniev was drafted in the third round, 80th overall, by the Calgary Flames. Recruits Larry Keenan (Detroit) and Ryan MacPherson (Philadelphia) saw their names called as well. Keenan was taken by the Red Wings in the fourth round, 117th overall, and MacPherson was chosen by the Flyers in the sixth round, 172nd overall.

Penticton had five players on their roster for the 2023-24 season attend NHL Development Camps. Forward James Fisher attended his second Columbus Blue Jackets camp, after he was drafted by the Blue Jackets in 2022. Fisher comes to Penticton after playing last season with Youngstown in the USHL. Defenceman Larry Keenan attended Red Wings Camp after being taken in the fourth round. Keenan played this past season at Culver Military Academy in Indiana. Fellow incoming defenceman Francesco Dell’Elce was a free agent invite to Montreal Canadiens camp. Dell’Elce played the 2022-23 season at St. Andrew’s College prep school in Ontario. Ryan MacPherson and his twin brother Connor attended Flyers camp.
