PENTICTON, B.C. – The BC Hockey League (BCHL) announced the Three Stars of the Week on Tuesday, and Penticton Vees’ forward Thomas Pichette was named the First Star of the Week, for the week ending November 19th.
1st Star- Thomas Pichette
Thomas Pichette led the BCHL in scoring last weekend with six points (4G, 2A) in two wins over the Prince George Spruce Kings and Victoria Grizzlies. The 20-year-old started the weekend with a four-point effort on Friday, in the Vees 8-1 win over the Spruce Kings. Pichette scored both his goals in the third period, as the Vees scored five times in the final 20 minutes of regulation.
Pichette followed up his four-point night with a pair of goals in the Vees’ 6-3 triumph over the Grizzlies on Saturday. The Maskinonge, QC, product scored a power play goal in the first period and added another in the middle frame, helping lead the Vees to their third consecutive win. The Vees also extended their consecutive home win streak to 50 games.
Pichette is sixth in team scoring with seven goals and 18 points in 19 games. He’s on pace to set new career highs in goals, assists and points. Pichette is committed to the University of Maine.
